Samantha has lost very prestigious films (Manirathnam's and Shankar's) down South to other actresses but she scored a big film in Bollywood. Sources informed us that Samantha has bagged an author-backed role in a new Hindi film to be directed by current 'hotshot' director Prabhu Deva. This is going to be Prabhu Deva's next Hindi film after his recent blockbuster Rowdy Rathore. Buzz is that Prabhu Deva is remaking his first directorial venture, Nuvvostanante Nenoddanta, (2005), into Hindi and Samantha has been roped in to play the role of Siri, originally played by Trisha.
