Got this info from a district level TDP leader. When TDP was in power for 9 years we did not earn any money. We had some privileges and had some power. We did some good for people may be for votes but we worked for them. Once YSR came to power within a year all Congress leaders were minting money no one asked question. Govt official’s minted money through bribes and local Congress leaders made lot of money. So govt official’s happy, leaders happy. Of course some schemes like arogyasri were a big hit with the masses. We were left with nothing but lot of debt. Next elections congress had lot of money and spent lot for election; we tried our best, borrowed lot of money and spent for election but lost. Now all we have is debt and lot of jealousy. Ask any Govt official irrespective of caste or creed, they will support YSR. Only hope for us to survive is to support Jagan. He has some sympathy, money and atleast local govt officials backing. Bottom line it’s all about money. You guys sit there and say neeti, nyayam, corruption but now all leaders want is money. Who ever comes to power, they are going to try and mint money, doesn’t matter Congress, TDP or YSRCP. |
