Some movies are bad because of a bad story. Some get the honors due to a faulty screenplay. And there are movies where the actors can't act. Dharuvu is one of a kind. A bad story coupled with a faulty screenplay and some atrocious acting by almost everyone. To top it all, it has a very cheap feel to it. Cheap not just in budget but in taste too. In the name of humor, the kind of scenes that we get to see in this movie featuring the revered Gods of Hindu religion are stunning to say the least. Such jokes on Prophet Mohammad or Jesus Christ will not have gone past the censor board. Leaving aside the morality, the jokes fall absolutely flat and leave a bad taste in the mouth. I have seen quite a few bad movies but none as disastrous as this movie. Ravi Teja seriously needs to engage in serious introspection. His days - as they are now - are numbered. Should have gone to Endukante Premante. Big mistake on my part. Naaku nacchindi janaalaki nacchadu... Janaalaki nacchindi naaku nacchadu... Nenanthe.. adho type. |
