i dont know they should consider kapu head in my opinion. if not for kapus . they would have been out of picture in bi polls. their leaders from party are botsa and chiru. kikure shudnt be considered as leader. he is leader now coz he is cm. once they take him off chair . but botsa and chiru can be leaders with out any position. both of them are kapus all the reddy cadre already left party. why they still trying to go after them. they should concentrate what they can have. i think .lets see what happens | ||

NEW DELHI/HYDERABAD: The Congress high command will take up the issue of a change of guard in the state after the completion of the Presidential elections in July, AICC sources told TOI on Sunday. The high command made it clear much before the bypolls results were declared that heads will roll if the state Congress leadership was unable to check the growth of Jaganmohan Reddy, the sources said. Although Kiran supporters are insisting that there is no alternative as chief minister at least till the 2014 elections, the high command wants to go ahead with a rejig of the cabinet and consider other options. "As results were pouring in on June 15, AICC observer Vayalar Ravi had hinted in New Delhi that some heads may roll," the source said . According to them, keeping in view the increased threat from Jagan and other political realities, the factors that will have to be kept in mind are that the successor to Kiran Kumar has to be from the Reddy community, hail from Telangana, be above faction politics and acceptable to all the three regions. "The Congress cannot afford to make a non-Reddy candidate as the CM in the present circumstances. And since PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana is from the Andhra region, the new CM has to be from Telangana," claimed a source. If these factors are taken into consideration, the Congress will have very few names to pick from. According to the sources, Union minister S Jaipal Reddy may be shifted from the Centre to the state with the specific task of warding off Jagan threat, re-building the party and making it a formidable force in all the three regions ahead of the 2014 elections. Towards this end, the Congress will not be averse to announce some sort of package for Telangana, the sources added. Another name that is under the scanner of the party high command is that of Marri Shashidhar Reddy. Like Jaipal, Shashidhar too will be acceptable to the other two regions and will be able to unite the various groups in the state Congress, is the thinking in New Delhi. One problem in continuing with Kiran Kumar is that the complete overhaul of the state Congress and the cabinet, as hinted by Vayalar Ravi, cannot be carried out under the present dispensation. "Therefore, if Jaipal is brought in, he will be given a free hand and that could mean the entire cabinet could wear a new look and shed the image of being a continuation of the YSR era," said another source. |
