Stunning majories reflect a clean wave in favor of YSRC. YSRC has a vivid political strategy which they are implementing in a very plannned manner. These huge majorities are the result of various factors: Jagan's long lasted 'odarpu', successful reaching of grassroots, and above all Congress's politically motivated deeds. Congress actions thru CBI has antogonized people. Restricting Jagan's campaign in the name of CBI enquiry and then arrest made people angry because CBI is used as a tool for their political interests. Above all, just before the elections, taking Jagan in a police van ignited sentiments of people. When Jagan was arrested on day 1, he should have been taken in a police van rather than in special SUV. People felt that CBI is acting under the direction of High Command, when Jagan was arrested, and KVP was left untouched. If KVP and some other people who were involved in corruption during YSR regime were arrested, the sentiment would not have been this strong. Any sentiment will work very strong for 2 times. From third time onwards it would decline. In some cases, by third time it would vanish. Finally, Congress made KCR as a hero in Telangana and Jagan as hero in Coastal Andhra. Interestingly, what happened to the Telangana sentiment? From a situation of Congress and TDP losing deposits (By-elections 2011) to a situation where a neck to neck fight is given (Parakala) is a clear example of sentiment works for once or twice. Congress's wait and watch approach on Jagan is the the reason for present outcome. A1 should have been enquired and arrested much before the other accused. There will be political migrations into YSRC in the months to come. |
