Great. Know his son as well. He was always called KV Lu. Very popular Prof. HOD, chief warden, RengCol Times Chief Editor, later on DUGS etc. I am one of his fav students (I think). Taught us Control Systems and Power Systems. Oka funny incident- It was a Sunday afternoon. We were our room, I was working on some record, my roomie was doing something. There was a knock on the door! My roomie shouted, "Pushhhh!!" That was the standard response in W. The door opened and KV Lu is there in the door. We like, shit! and then said, "Oh Shit" together in perfectly synchronized voices! Even KV lu laughed, and said, take it easy. I am just distributing the first RengColTimes issue under my supervision. We were so thrilled. He spent a few minutes with us. he came over to my desk and looked at what I am doing, and said, next year I will be teaching you guys, look forward to that. One of the most loved Profs. just a gem. may be risky. Benioff has a huge positive vibe like Bezos. Wall street operates on people buzz. Without Bezos and Benioff their stocks wont see 30s. FIO is struggling because of FB. among all the Indian ADRs, I like only HDB. Others I do not know much. INFY might be good based on rapidly falling Rupee. TTM could be good too.But there are so many good picks in US market right now, no compelling reason to look elsewhere. not sure about IBN. HDB is fantastic, but Indian economy is in doldrums right now, so you get it even better price. I have HDB in India both HDFC and HDFC Bank bought in 1988 or so. What do you think of HDB and IBN? I got good returns on these during the 2008-09 down turn. I think these are solid banks irrespective of downturn and they got clobbered unnecessarily due to India & Rupee concerns. | ||

Not specifically for MCD. MCD is a fine stock. But, here is an important tip. When market is in distress like now, every thing falls. weak stocks fall even more. they look like fantastic bargain bumper offers. you have to pick the bargains very very very carefully. do not fall for heavily fallen duds.
