Things are only going to get worse before they get better for the rupee. From a pure economic math point of view, on a REER basis, the rupee is undervalued right now. Around 50 might be a fair value, but unfortunately overshooting does happen both on the upside and the downside. Next elections daka vechi choodandi. The main problem is not that the Congress is screwing up but that there is no credible opposition that the investors can atleast hang their hopes on. 45 daka hopes thakkuva - unless the oil prices fall to say 70 or 80 per barrel and the CAD comes back to reasonable levels. | ||
