You can sell the $100 gift card on ebay for 90 or more. Don't forget to buy liquid damage protection which Apple does not cover. I paid $1000 to repair a pro I bought for $1040. You can get it from BestBuy or places like square trade etc. Your home/renters insurance might provide liquid damage protection. Also buy it on a credit card which provides additional warranty after the standard one year warranty. | ||

Except iMac, I own all of apples including black macbook which is nothing but a piece of $(** when you compare the price of a similar config. 2200$ ki laptop aa.. adi koodaa 500gigs.. Did you actually use any apple products? If you are upto it, I have just retired a 2006 iMac, I will give it to you very cheap. If cost is the only concern for you. Load Mountain Lion for $20, it will run like a tank for another 5 years.
