Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had allegedly threatened the lessee of Y.M. Mahabaleshwarappa and Sons Mining Company, Y. Satish, with dire consequences if he did not give up mining. The YSR Congress chief had apparently even forced him at gunpoint to get into a sub-lease agreement with R.R. Global. According to Satish’s statement to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy had eyed his mines as it was adjacent to the Obulapuram Mining Company and Bellary Iron Ore Private Limited and that Jagan Mohan Reddy had acted on his behalf. Sources said that Satish was summoned to the CBI office four times for questioning in relation to the illegal mining scam after his name cropped up in the list of investors in Jagan’s companies. Y.M. Mahabaleswarappa and Sons had got its mining lease in 1978 and had carried out mining operations till 2009. Satish told CBI officials that he had been summoned by Jagan to Bengaluru and the latter had asked him to give up his mining rights in the area. The YSR Congress chief had apparently also warned him of dire consequences if he refused the proposal. Satish also handed over a written statement accusing Jagan Mohan Reddy of threatening him with a revolver to reach a sub-lease agreement with one benami Sajjala Diwakar Reddy of RR Global Enterprises. He told the CBI that he had capitulated as he thought his life was in grave danger. After the incident, Mr Satish had to be admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru for six months due to hypertension and cardiac problems. The CBI alleged that several irregularities had taken place in the transactions between RR Global and Y.M. Mahabales-hwarappa and Sons. It also found that RR Global had invested Rs 49 crore in Jagati Publications and Rs 30 crore in Indira television. CBI officials also said that huge wealth was generated from Y.M. Mahabaleswarappa and Sons illegally during 2007-10. In a related incident, the CBI has allegedly insisted former AP state mines director V.D. Rajagopal and his brother-in-law Rajasekhar to become approvers in the illegal mining scam. Source DC | ||

One fine day a gun is pointed to this man's head and he is asked to sign on a sale deed to sell his mines to Gali. It will be a little confusing here as the exact internals of the deal are not well known by me so please bear with me. The friend is also asked to shell out Rs 2.5 Cr in check (here is where I'm lost and need to gather more info). So our friend is shell shocked and begs Jagan and Gali J to show some mercy not just for his life but also his future. But nobody listens no mercy is shown.
