u asked a question about defending him . if it was about defending him on ethical front . there is nothign to defend about yesterday ,today or tomarrow. he is corruptive. on political front i strongly believe he might stay in jail there for 6 mo to a year then he gets bail . if he win majority of seats the momentum will carry him for little while about 6 months lets say by 2013 it starts gettiong weak by then he comes out and he gets on road again that will give some morale boost and elections in 2014 just good time . even he wins 25 still be relavant just like prp became relavant with 17 seats . convition may come in 2020 if that . we cant predict what happens in 2020. if he become relavant in central just like lalu and jaya mulayam , sibu soren did nothing would happen to him. if you ask me on ethical front if i know he is corruptive why am i supporting him ? coz i strongly believe for any political party or governemnet its necesssary to be corruptive other wise they dont survive in politics. he done what he need to do to survive in indian politics system and i have nothing agaisnt it | ||

YSR sold his followers a dream. It is a combination of NTR's self respect, later day Robinhoodism and the inherent Reddy superiority. This would have been an excellent formula if he did not cross the limits of law and of course did not die suddenly. His loss is irreplaceable to his followers. Sensing this, Jagan tried to fill the vacuum. This would have worked great too, had he not strayed too far off the legal course. Nobody knows the future, but considerable damage has been done to Jagan's political chances and also to personal wealth. He would still be wealthy, but would be a cheap target for every one. His followers would remain steadfast. But their numbers will not grow. If he spends time in jail, nobody would care for him after a few months. When he comes back, his benamis would be his biggest threat, ala Suri-Bhanu.
