All these days I was thinking to tour the entire clay season starting with Barcelona in couple of years.. but monna travelling lo doubt ochhindi.. Couple more years, fed might not be his usual.. So nest year sketch estunnaa.. Any advice/tips on where to stay etc??

i am a 4.5 to 5 level tennis player. i play tennis mostly on weekends. try to imitate federer's forehand for the most part and his serve. the key word is TRY. my singlehand backhand - i slice opponents to death/boredom whichever comes 1st. (thankfully, it has always been the latter in all matches i have played! touchwood!)
being a sampras/fed fan, have always stuck to wilson! from my experience, the string tension and nature of strings has a much bigger impact than racquets as such. i have not really played with the strings, but i once hit with a tennis pro's racquet and believe me, you can generate some unbelievable top-spin with that baby. i wish i can someday steal one racquet of fed/nadal/joker's. i am sure it would be fun playing with them. i still will have to buy some ultra modern skates with futuristic braking system to move like those guys though!
women's draw - i think either serena/sharapova. though i would love to see li repeat or azarenka keep her calendar slam hope alive! she hits the ball so fu$king clean! she must hit the ball with the sweet spot most often than any other woman on tour! i obviously am talking about the tennis still! ;)

foolish question may be....but do you play Tennis too.....
i play.....and this season looking foward to play longer as my club run courts are getting lights to play in the evenings....
on and off player.....but bought this babolat drive z lite racquet which im loving.....huge upgrade from my basic HEAD before.....but again.....aata peddaga leka....racquet tho compensating annattu....good spin though....
are you predicting any upset winner in womens draw this time? who are the favourites anyway? Li Na? serena?

as for mr. fed - me being a fan of fed is the understatement of the millenium! i have most probably seen every freaking shot fed hit in any tennis match he played since 2003 wimbledon. and i have seen a lot of his practice hits too! i am not really a believer of God and heaven, but i hope they have video recorded all of fed's matches/practice sessions up there! i would love to watch those as i enjoy an unlimited supply of pizza/lasagna if and when I get there.
you are right! french open just humming onto the runway. loved watching azarenka dig a hole for herself and then spend another hour getting out. venus too. a-rod/hewitt said no-mas, though!

now, now! surely t-20 is more than that? it's a total-action filled game. no room for defensive minded players. bowlers have to get wickets and batsmen need to hunt the runs. abd, rahane, even gayle, viru, gambhir, rohit, faf, shikhar dhawan - most of these people got most of their runs through nice clinical batting. this ipl, they showed you can get runs through batting skills based on sound technique.
as for that 1st six that abd hit, he pulled a short ball without even blinking an eye. as i remember the shots getting better. they need 39 from 18, i think and after abd's "shock and awe" innings, they needed 1 off 8! it was just a blood-bath and to do that to the best bowler in the universe (at this time!) is insanely hard to comprehend. super knock! god bless abd! it makes me smile everytime i think about those audacious shots from abd!

people,
we just finished with a wonderful t-20 tournament, ipl. we had a lot of exciting matches and some super-duper cricket on display. why are we discussing conspiracy theories against, arguably, india's greatest captain and india's 2nd greatest left hander of all time. (sorry yuvraj singh! i still think you are the most gifted left-handed batsman to play for india, though! oops! sorry vinod kambli ;)
i just hope viru/gg abd msd are bigger people than their egos and will find a way to put indian cricket back on track, in time for WC2015.....
as for the ipl,
It has been 50 odd days of non-stop fun - the IPL. watching the best players in the world duke it out has been a fab experience. this has been the best ipl thus far and "meaningless matches" have been very few - 1 to be precise. (1 out of 76. not too bad)
best shot of the tournament - dhoni's helicopter against slinga malinga. you got to see the helicopter shot atleast once in your life, in person! abd's inside-out six off a steyn yorker @ 90mph+ is a very very close 2nd!
best innings - rohit's 109 @ eden gardens, followed closely by abd's 47 off 17.
best bowling spell - steyn, couple of spells against MI, and couple against b'lore (though one of them was marred by abd, after steyn had delivered a maiden against gayle!) and a few spells from sunil narine...
best wicket - sunil narine bowling tendulkar. SRT looked like ponting against bhajji!
best catch - the botha/rahane catch in jaipur VS pwi!
best moment - watching SRT walk out @ wankhede. i have a sneaky feeling that the crowds love that dude in that city! ;)
