court No ani cheppaka, mallee J reps CBI office ki velli try chesaranta ext ki and they said No again. The CBI suspects that part of the Rs 854 crore invested by Mr Prasad was routed by other industrialists, companies and contractors favoured by YSR. Mr Nimmagadda Prasad had acted as mediator. Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy was served the notice on Wednesday when he was offering prayers at a church in Rentachintala of Guntur. Following this, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s advocates went to the CBI office at Koti and submitted a letter written by the leader seeking more time. In the letter, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote that he was busy with the byelection campaign and could not attend before June 15. However, the CBI SP, Mr H. Venkatesh, categorically told Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s lawyers that he had to appear before investigating officials. |

The high court however made it clear that the provisions under Section 41 A of the Code of Criminal Procedure will be followed while dealing with this case. Section 41 A of the CrPC states that a person shall not be arrested unless he is issued with an appearance notice and questioned. The provision also states that an arrest shall be carried out without questioning only if that person fails to appear on the date of the summons before the investigating authority. Rajanna Amar Hai.
