* In archives of Lisbon museum, a letter was found, which was written by the portugese to the East India company ppl asking how far would Shivaji extend his kingdom .. the question was pursued by an employee of East India company with his relative working under Shivaji .. to which Shivaji answered .. from Manas Sarovar to the Ocean (Kanyakumari) it is one country .. and I will wipe out the kingdoms of adharma, that are spread in between .. thats his commitment to the country and its people! * Shivaji dreamt of a society where health, education, safety, honoring guests etc were performed involuntarily to all subjects of his kingdom and this is his dream of "dharma rajya" .. and he made his team of volunteers understand his idea and implement it .. * When Shivaji Maharaj was killed by Aurangazeb .. the normal people of the Maratha land fought Mughals for 30 years! only bcoz Shivaji was the example .. Shivaji was the inspiration ..! | ||

* Shivaji had to be persuaded by Raja of Kasi, Ramdas Swami and Jija Matha, to be a king. Even after becoming a king, since he knew the system he established .. he never thought of himself as the supreme lord! Once on a pilgrimage to Srisailam, he even wanted to offer his head to the Lord in sacrifice .. he thought in such a simple way! If people did not stop him in the last minute .. he would have sacrificed his life in the temple, even though he was a king. * He did not have selfishness as the reason to propel him to takeover the kingdom .. neither did he have arrogance and ego .. * He was not after glory, honor or praise .. he roamed his entire kingdom on foot or horse .. played with the kids of small laborers and mingled with them to know their problems before he was a king .. * Though his kingdom was small, his 'dristi' was not .. when the temple of Kasi was demolished by Aurangazeb .. he wrote to him saying .. as a ruler you have to treat your subjects equally .. but you violated .. going forward .. if you repeat the same .. I will have to protect your subjects by fighting a war with you! Part - 5 | ||

* When Shivaji Maharaj was captured by Aurangazeb, the rule of law established by Shivaji in his kingdom, did not breakdown .. ppl did not loose confidence on the king since he was captured .. and they maintained the same state until Shivaji escaped from Aurangazeb's fort in Agra and reached back to the Maratha Kingdom. * This Shivaji's model of good governance was even replicated by some kings in Bihar! The moment Shivaji escaped from foreign rule of Aurangazeb .. that moment the entire country (beyond Marathas) started rallying behind Shivaji, realizing his strength .. his model made natives the rulers again .. * Shivaji told Golconda's Qutb Shahis .. you can be the rulers, till you let natives live peacefully. He termed that his kingdom goes by 'Haindavi Swaraj' principle and that means the natives have the freedom, even if the rulers are foreign and as long as Qutb Shahis obey it .. they are free to rule with the pro-native governance! This continued for 3 generations atleast .. we have to think how Shivaji could inspire the country for so long .. * Shivaji was never power hungry .. he had to be inspired to make him realize that only he had the ability to unite people and give them a good govt! * When Jijamatha was carrying Shivaji .. when asked wat kind of craving she had .. she wished she had 18 arms and ride a lion and in each arm a weapon to wipe out the rakshas like evil people out there .. !!! Her sakhi-s thought she was day dreaming and is on her way to be a pauper! (Such is the mental slavery of that society)  * Duplicity cannot be a strategy to take a nation forward .. duplicity of a man, time, strategy or a country .. nothing can be acceptable an acceptable strategy (tantra) .. * Shivaji's outlook back then was very modern .. he abolished feudals owning land! and the society welcomed it .. accepted it .. embraced it ..
