(CNN) -- Miami Heat forward LeBron James is the NBA's 2011-2012 Most Valuable Player. He is the first player since Michael Jordan to win at least three MVP titles. James totaled 1,074 points including 85 first-place votes, from ballots cast by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters, as well as fan votes. James, 27, beat out Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant (889 points) Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Paul (385 points). Lakers' Kobe Bryant (352 points) San Antonio's Tony Parker (331 points), rounded out the top five vote-getters |
