Tirupati: Hitting the campaign trail ahead of June 12 bypolls for 18 assembly segments including Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy on Friday alleged that Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy floated his political party only to cover up his economic offences. Addressing a roadside meeting, he alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy, who floated YSR Congress Party, had nexus with several persons who had criminal background. Speaking on the visit of Mr Jagan to the Tirumala temple here recently and his reportedly declining to sign on the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) declaration book that he has faith in Lord Venkateswara, Mr Reddy said one should respect the sentiments and age-old practices of the shrine, managed by TTD. He also termed TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu as an "invalid currency note" as the people of the state have "lost faith" in him. Mr Reddy was accompanied by actor turned politician K Chiranjeevi and Pradesh Congress Committee President B Satyanarayana. | ||
