One of the well known producers in Tollywood circuit is K S Rama Rao and those who know him say that he is tough, shrewd and mentally strong person. However, all that seems to didn’t work with his recent offering ‘Dammu’. Buzz is that K S Rama Rao has been crying bitterly over a recent incident. This was the success meet of ‘Dammu’. It happened in Park Hyatt, Dasari Narayana Rao came and praised the movie along with few other biggies. But then it is heard that K S Rama Rao is crying. And there is a good reason for that. Buzz is that for the budget of moviemaking and his understanding with distributors the final count shows that there is minimum 20% loss for K S Rama Rao. Though they sold it for a good price some shares were agreed on returns basis. On the other hand, in the name of success meet and post release promotions pressure is being applied on him. With big guests coming to Park Hyatt and a big feast arranged, it amounted upto Rs 3500 per head as per sources. This means more losses to K S Rama Rao. Dhammu which was actually acquired by Bharath Pictures for Vizag territory has released as a Producer own release with Bharath backing off in the last few days before release. Distributor Bharath planned this quite well so that no one comes in his way and backed off in the last minute. Producer KS Ramarao has no option but to release the film through Bharah since a change of plan will effect its theater count and respective agreements already done. After the release Bharath started maintaining 2 seperate Daily Collection Reports for the film. One for his own purpose and the other to show the producer with a down graded amount for most centres. The difference here goes into Bharath's pockets. Dhammu collected 2.17 crores for 1st week in Vizag area, but only 1.68 Cr was reported to producer. On its Day9, Dhammu collected 13.5 lakhs and its was shown as 7.5 lakhs and this is how Bharath pictures, a regular distributor of NTR films is cheating the producer.
