thats what I was telling, arupulu kekalu, over action is called acting in TFI ani...you dont find such scenes in any of world cinema...only Indian sensibilities ki maathrame appealing yee performance and scenes

Venky ki saripoye roles lo Venky baga perform chestadu .. Nag ki saripoye roles lo Nag di same ..
content wise .. Venky movies .. off late .. template movies .. chudatali ante bore .. and even in his hey days .. experiment cheyyadam rare ga chesadu .. so mass/masala format ki saripoyela chesevaadu .. extraordinary ga anipinchindi ante Swarna Kamalam .. no where else aa majic repeat cheyyaledu .. naa feeling
Nag movies .. better made .. konni worst movies .. kaani chala varaku better movies .. konni experiments kuda .. given wat we are dished out in telugu cinema .. class audience ki, youth ki target okappudu .. ippudu he too is like Venky .. template movies .. nothing interesting .. will have to see wat hez upto in Damarukam etc ..
extraordinary antha anipinchadu performance kaani .. acted enough ane type lo untayi chala varaku .. golden period ante Gitanjali-Hello Brother ..
Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu special mentions .. though made by a director who could not present it well .. his part he did .. |

What kind of subtle performance r u talking about..
Manmadhudu was a hit not due to Nag's subtle acting. If you cannot act and can call it as subtle acting then Nag fits the bill..
NNN was a massive hit .. one of the reason is Venky's performance as well..
Can you imagine Nagarjuna in hard hitting roles with lots of emotion filled up in roles like Dharmachakram and Ganesh.. He will not be able to do it..
Nagarjuna.. cannot do comedy unlike Venky.. cannot carry sentimental part unlike Venky.. cannot utter dialogues properly.. what else you would like to compare.. the romantic part only looks better.. |

If you write top 10 films of TFI atleast two of Nag movies will be there. I doubt even one of Venky movie makes it.
If you list best 10 fights choreographed in TFI, atleast 2-3 scenes involving Nag should there... considering Shiva cycle fight and Antham bar fight.
Nag comedy is subtle and sensible compared to Venkys vekili comedy ante someone laughed. Here is a bit of technical explanation.
If you takae example of Manmadhudu lo escalator episode, Nagarjuna says to Brahmanandam something like "alaa digaalani teleeka memu maamoolugaa digamu. emparledantaaraa"...performance was subtle and as required for situation and elevates the situational comedy. Audience laughs cause of situation and timing.
Give same scene to Venky... Venky melikalu tiruguthoo, making faces and says to Brahmananda " aaah ooooh allaaa digaalani teleeka memu maamoolugaa digaamu. emparledu antaaraa...hmmmmmm"....performance goes over board and situational comedy becomes slapstick comedy. Audience laughs cause of characters and situation in the same order.
Unfortunately in TFI, over board performance is called "acting". and subtle performance takes you acting meter to nagative. hence TFI can say Venky is >>>> Nag in "acting".
