I dont get that business. I missed the qn. do not take me too seriously. but here is my take. by the time P/E and PEG become attractive, the aggressive growth phase of the company is flattened and company moved into a value phase. once you get to that point, you wont see 4-baggers or 10-baggers. you will see 1 to 2 baggers. you will very rarely see high serial growth with low PE and PEG. thats what makes apple historically unprecedented stock. even then people dont believe it is sustainable thats why the PE is 14-18. but one truth i have seen- recurring theme, all high flying sky high PE ratios will come down one day. law of numbers will catch up. Recent examples NFLX, GMCR. High PE is a high balancing act. Revs and profits should grow and even it out. Very tricky act. ISRG has done it admirably. Hope AMZN can pull it off well. there is no hard & fast rule. too low means, nobody wants it. too high means nobody would be interested. 25-50% is ideal. as the market cap goes low, this percentage should be lesser. anthe kadaa. buy high and sell high.. what i like is its low Mkt cap, low enterprise value, high ROE and ROA, better margins. if you look at their cashflow almost all net is going into capex means they are aggressively growing but low debt. good sign of a growth company. The lower the P/E, the cheaper the stock is. The higher the ratio, the more expensive the stock is relative to its current earnings. However, that does not give you the full picture. The reason why some companies sometime trade at very high price-to-earnings ratios is because they are expected to grow tremendously in the months and years ahead. unlikely. we have a hometown 300 lb gorilla called Wegmans. Danny Wegman is a Rochester native, and their flagship store is 1 mile from my house. No exaggeration, celebrities like Cher when they visit Rochester they make it a point to shop at Wegmans. Difficult for WFM to make a mark. but you may never know. con, CMI ripped the earnings I heard. Also watch out for Nat Gas prices when they start rising WPRT will be affected. gas is now $2 compared to the peak of $10. Most of WPRT buy side story is based on this. If you put the gas price at $10, WPRT does not look so attarctive. this may be the reason ppl are not biting it.
