i got my GC through my wife (EB1 category). devudi daya valla ee roju daaka eppudu ee disco maa madhya raledu. most usual arguments are around i dont spend much time with family/cinema pichchi or unmaadam and ur/my family. future lo jarigite matram mana DB lo evado disthi kotti denkinattu ;) incidentally, maaku GC vachindi August 2010 lo. naa PD (Jan 2009) vallaki within a year's time vachindi. appatiki naa labor and 140 clear ayyi, i also got a 3 year extension on my H1. my PD was Jan 2009. there is no change in my job. i am still under my old employer's payroll. ayana modati nundi naaku just employer taxes cut chesi takkinadanta ichestunnadu. it was more advantageous for my wife who has travel back and forth to india for her career. from my side, i got a chance to get interactions with film industry folks since we had to get recommendation letters signed... | ||

GC occhina nest day quit cheyochhu becoz in most cases, the quitter already worked for the sponsoring company for atleast an year.. It may not apply to desi couples but if hubby gets GC based on wifey and they divorce, i think before 5yrs??, then hubby gc gets revoked. In this db, there's always someone watching you!! | ||

This shouldn't have any impact on citizenship if that is your concern.....however as a goodwill gesture, people tend to move after 6-12 months depending on the relationship with the company/management. If it is a really can't miss offer, I am sure they will understand. | ||
