today had a Good run on treadmill. Thanks to goonda and humdum..did good amount of stretching and had banana. 7miles with 6.6 average pace Ashton - I'm living an Amish lifestyle. so far so good. |

Mental_sachinodu:this is mainly breathing problem. breathing proper ga leka pothe body does not receive enough oxygen and your head starts to spin. so while running keep track of how your breathing. rule of thumb, you should choose to run at a speed where you can speak freely, without too much trouble. this is if you want to run longer intervals. if running at 7, is hurting, you should not be running at that speed. you should build up to it.

I started out with interval running..Run two mins, walk two mins, gradually increased ratio to 1:2, 1:3, 1:4. Even now I take a minute break after 15-20 mins. Ivvaltinunchi, decided to do warm up, streach and run..choodali how I am gonna do it. BTW naa buildup ki nenedo pro anukokandi..I am also a beginner like you Ashton - I'm living an Amish lifestyle. so far so good. |

why are you doing those speeds unless you area professional. I too cannot do it on 7 for long. Your goal must be doing long distance not speed as you will be burning same calories, but if your goal is endurance then speed that too gradually increase it. strength and edurance ela improve sesukovalli....i get far too easily fatigued than many others in the gym its kinda embarassing and hence demotivating pch... good thing is i'm able to achieve my wt goals....which is primarily due to diet changes....now the worry is my fitness levels din't show any improvement in 8 weeks or so(last 8 weeks have hit the gym quite regularly).... |

give your legs a break annai and conc on stength training(for legs). chesedhi emi ledhu, you just have to give them ample rest and start from scratch again. unless you think there is technique issue in the style of running, it is mostly beaten muscles. i went through this phase, its a very bad phase. perform shin exercises every day annai.. if possible two times a day. slowly build strength. The best thing that worked for me. Every night padukone mundhu, and legise mundhu i tried this 1)sleep on your bank point your toe away from your body, parallel to your leg, and extend as much as you can, and hold it for 5 minutes. one leg at a time. do the same by pulling the toe towards your body, and hold it for 5 minutes. 2)after that start righting alphabets from A to Z with big toe(keeping your toes extended like in step 1). do this one leg at time 3)draw circles 5 clockwise and 5 anti clockwise with your toe(keeping your toes extended like in step 1). one leg at a time ivi chesthe chaala help ayyindhi. i still have weak shins, but im considerably better. never extend your self, only increase a little percentage, and at the slightest hint of pain, stop running. I do not do if varicose veins is effecting you in this, if it is, i can only suggest you to see a doctor.

Khan...mostly veggie. Morning breakfast okappudu idly,dosal. Oka 6 months ga cereals. baaga alvat aipoindi. 1 Cup of 2% or whole milk + bowl lo honey oat cereals. Lunch...mostly carrying from home these days to avoid junk. Rice/Quinoa + Daal/Sambar+Curry...or Roti(3) + Some curry. Work lo 2 times coffee. Morning dunkin. Afternoon satbucks. Less sugar regular coffee.... Office lo fruits untai...so appudu appudu 1 fruits in the evening. Night...if I am in good mood then Quinoa + Something or Pasta or Chapathi + Curries....little bit of yogurt etc. Festivals, relatives/friends visiting aithe....haddu ledu. Lot of variety of food and no end to sweets.

Guys, I need your suggestions!!! Naa weight around 190 ippudu. I plan to run daily but end up only 3 times a week. Thread mill paina 42-44 mins lo 4 miles running sestha. 55 mins lo 5 miles. Too much body pains after that so next 2 days bunk. Monna saturday weather baagundi kada ani...2.5 miles running to gym ani start chesa...after 1.2 miles I couldn't run (may be because uneven roads). Gym lo 2 miles 21 mins lo running chesa and then 2.5 miles walk back to him. Next 2 days again down.... Em cheyali....daily 5 miles continous ga 3-4 weeks cheyali ante....? weight tagginatte untadi...but sudden ga 190 antadi..... I saw the difference between running with right gear and not so right gear. After I started using compression shorts , I run better and no chaffing between thighs, after swithing to dry fit clothes, I dont fave these sagging cotton t shirts and shorts while running etc etc Maree marathon kadu kanee, I want to run longer and for long time Ashton - I'm living an Amish lifestyle. so far so good. |

I have a garmin 705, works well for biking and running. chest belts are probably the most accurate. I tried a couple of watches, when i was training for bike races, but they are not accurate and reliable.
King:How do you carry water on runs? Fuel belt or hydration belt konala? (Right now carrying 1/2 gallon water bottle on trial run)
easiest way to refuel during long sessions, is carrying a small bottle of honey. it really helps and you dont have to actually stop.
King:After run, what do I need to eat to energize back.
