He was 84. Satyamurthy (SM) had founded the People’s War in early ‘80s along with top leader Kondapalli Seetharamaiah (KS), when they were working as teachers in Fatima Girls High School at Kazipet in Warangal. By that time, they were already in the CPI (Marxist-Leninist) movement. However, they were also colleagues in Gudivada school and were also roommates, before moving to Warangal. And not many were aware that present-day media baron Ch Ramoji Rao was working as a tea boy in Gudivada and he used to get tea for the Naxalite leaders in their room regularly. He also used to help the teachers to clean their room and serve tea even during the late hours. Pleased with Ramoji Rao’s sincere service, Satyamurthy bought him an old bicycle so that he could go around and do some marketing job to get more money. After KS and SM left Gudivada to Warangal and later into the forests to build the Naxalite movement, Ramoji got into pickle sale business and used to make door-to-door selling using the old cycle donated by Satyamurthy. While the Naxalite leaders sacrificed their lives for the good of the people, Ramoji Rao rose to new heights. And by the time Kondapalli and Satyamurthy returned to the mainstream due to their old age, Ramoji Rao became a big man.
