Goldman Sachs Upgrades Home Builders Sector to Attractive Pointing to stabilizing home prices and historically low mortgages rates, Goldman Sachs reportedly upgraded the U.S. home builders sector to "attractive." According to Reuters, Goldman also lifted its price target on Toll Brothers (TOL), D.R. Horton (DHI), KB Home (KBH) and Lennar (LEN). Goldman reportedly predicted new home sales will grow 30% in 2010 and 50% over the next two years, further buoying shares of homebuilders. At the same time, Goldman sees a better than 50% chance the government will extend its federal tax credit to "allay fears of a 'double dip' in housing." Citing nine successful debt replacements since April, Goldman analysts wrote, ""So long as the credit markets remain open to homebuilders, we think the risk of zeros across the group is limited," according to Reuters. all opinions expressed here are mine.. | ||
