it is high time indian companies look to do something for India than for others ... asiapac market is big enough for atleast a few indian companies to aim big in the region than providing service to MNCs which come and sell their products here.

i think .. that trend already started .. I can see HCL Tech/Wipro doing that .. I think more firms will join ..

Gandhiguevara:

hehehe....elaa? manaki antha computer market ledhu...IT survive avvali ante videsi markets meeda depend kaaka tappadu...atleast for next 20 years

chaala tappu ga anchana vesaav .. there is so much of work to be done in India .. many business processes need re-design/streamlining .. companies have work ..

the big 3(infosys,wipro,tcs) should invest in (technology related)R&D rather than just training people to fit the american/european market..

http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9225894/Indian_IT_fir ms_are_heading_for_a_fall

India's IT companies are now learning.

Three of India's largest IT outsourcing firms, Infosys Technologies, Larsen & Toubro InfoTech and Tata Consultancy Services, are involved in lawsuits filed against them by current and former employees.

The lawsuits are a problem for each of the companies. But taken together, the cases are a major threat to the Indian IT industry in America.

India's IT firms are dependent on American businesses for about half of their revenue. They can't operate in this country without work visas, such as H-1B and L-1 visas.

Thus the allegations by employees of visa misuse and harassment have broad implications and are attracting federal investigators and congressional oversight.

Instead of trying to get huge margins by replacing Americans by bringing Indians here, they should change their business model..they should innovate with the likes of Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Asus, intel, qualcomn ...

Now these are no different than desi consulting companies..
