Cancel T-Mobile Contract ETF-free I just got my T-Mobile bill, and it included an insert titled "Important Notice about Domestic Data Use While Off the T-Mobile Network". It states that there is now a limit on the amount of domestic off-network (roaming) data you can use, where there previously was not. At the bottom of the insert, there is a note that states, "Review Sections 3-5 of T-Mobile's Terms and Conditions available at T-Mobile.com for information on your rights (which may include early service cancellations) as a T-Mobile customer." I'll be calling in tomorrow to cancel my contract, as I've been looking to switch to prepaid for a while now. I'm just glad this came in the mail before I paid $400 for both our lines to get to prepaid! Edit: 2-23-12 - just called in and the rep said my line will be canceled effective 4-5-12 with no ETF due to this roaming change. SUCCESS! The call took all of 3 minutes, and all I did was dial 611 and say "CANCEL MY ACCOUNT", and the account rep (David) took care of it for me. I'm not a Saint. |
