News is doing rounds that the disqualified Payakaraopeta Congress MLA (Jagan group) Golla Baburao has put his party ticket on sale. Baburao is supposed to be the YSR Congress Party candidate from Payakaraopeta in the ensuing by-elections. His opponents say that he is selling the party ticket to another person for Rs. 10 crores. It is to be recalled that Golla Baburao is one of the 16 MLAs recently disqualified by the Speaker Nadendla Manohar for defying the party whip during TDP's no-confidence motion against the government. Invariably, Baburao will be YSRC's official candidate for the by-election from Payakaraopeta. But for reasons better known to him, Baburao has requested his party to give ticket to a person of his choice. Now, his opponents are publicising that Baburao has put his candidature on sale for 10 crores. A bewildered Baburao denied any such thing and announced that he would himself contest in the upcoming by-elections. He clarified that he is not a person to run after money, as is being publicised by his detractors. He said even though three state ministers have tried to lure him with money to vote in favour of the government during no-confidence motion, he was unperturbed and kept his loyalty towards YSRC intact | ||
