I was told that my case is still not assigned to an adjuducating officer. Probable reason is no visa number is currently available. When I softly asked the infopass officer how others after me are still getting approvals, she started giving me a standard answer and told me that each case is different, blah...blah... She then checked March and April visa bulletins to make sure that my PD is indeed currently being processed. She again told me that probably a visa number is not available and that's the reason for my case not being assigned to an officer. When asked, she told me that my background check results came back on Dec 25,2011 (which is exactly 30 days from my FP date). This is ridiculous.... no visa numbers available ... :-( Looks like uscis never requested a visa number from DOS for people like me who are still waiting. 2.I am Dec 1 TSC filer. Went for Infopass today. I was told by the agent, I came too early. I should wait for 3-4 months. Didn't even tell whether my case is assigned to an officer or not. 3.Just came back from infopass appointment. I went with my wife and gave our 485 receipts to IO. Asked about application status, she check something on her system and looked at system and us like we are alien from another planet. Although she was nice, she did not find any info in the system. She asked to wait till she verify info. Then we saw her talking to her colleagues and calling some one. After 5 mins, She called us and said She does not have any info in the system like name and background check has been complete or not, some one working on our case or not. She said that she called TSC but no one picked her phone. Then she took photocopies of our 485 receipts and asked our phone numbers and email address. She said that she is going to write email and will let us know our status. It sucks now, wondering what is happening with our case.
