The easiest tax form I have seen is Singapore. One page, every one follows only one page, you file it, give a Bank Number, they deduct it over 12 months using something called GIRO. ridiculously low tax rates also. they dont pull from you. the issuer of W2, 1099 etc send one copy to you, and one copy to IRS. Every W2 we get they get too. Same with 1099s. In fact a cpl of years ago, i forgot a 1099, they sent me an invoice, I was impressed. So they have all data. It is just a matter of doing it. well first of all i don't know weather that is legal to pull your data and present to you for your approval,but other way is definitely legal. what i see in most fed projects there is hell lot of bureaucracy and with especially IRS business model i can't imagine how many scenarios they need to cover.. i bet even if we get that project for $100mil we will end of paying penalties or file for chapter 11.. cherapakura chedevu. | ||

I scraped through without paying any cap gains this year also. There is a technique called loss harvesting. if you have a mutual fund currently at a loss, sell it, book the loss and buy another MF with similar composition, you can harvest that loss. Similarly, GLD and SGOL. Sell GLD for a loss, and buy SGOL immediately, you can harvest that loss. Well, they should hire me and you to do it. I am sure we can pull it around for 100 Mil. Every 1099-MISC, INT, DIV, W2 in the country goes to them. What is stopping them from making at least a strawman return and then ask the assessee to approve it. If you do not care, you can do the current way. Filed the taxes! Phew! 4K refunds too. Promised to give it to Kalavar Rani. Wow wa wa Wee.. Had to enter about 3 dozen stock transactions line by line.. Good riddance for another 12 months.. But I don't get one thing. Every thing I submitted IRS already has a copy! Every single piece of data I entered, they have. Why cant they do my taxes and ask me to approve them? Your computer does the taxes, I just go to your website and okay it, how nice that is! We will have less issues that way.
