Asset for YKaPaa Now that megastar-turned-politician has been nominated for Rajya Sabha, the question that is doing rounds in the political circles is whether he has turned out to be an asset or liability for the Congress. âIt is true that Chiranjeevi had saved the Kiran Kumar Reddy government in the state from collapsing by merging the Praja Rajyam party with the Congress. That way he was an asset. But in the long-run, he will turn out be a liability for the Congress party. He will continue to get benefits from the party, but would not be of any use to the party in any manner,â a political observer commented in a television show. YSR Congress party leader Gone Prakash Rao echoed a similar opinion. âHe has turned out be an iron leg for the Congress. Wherever he goes for canvassing for the Congress, the party has lost the election. In fact, his presence in the Congress is more useful to YSR Congress party, as the more he campaigns for the ruling party, the more will be the benefit for the YSR Congress,â Gone said. | ||
