I do not know how many of you were born when Datsun was a brand. Toyota Bluebird and Datsun were very popular small cars in 70s to mid 80s. Hyderabad used to have a lot of them through ICRISAT people. If you read Shadow novels, Datsun used to be a popular brand in his novels When Nissan changed the brand to Nissan, there was a lot of sentimental outcry, similar to Cocacola changin the bottle design.
