Chitti, financial or non-financial no company has 100Bn cash. not many countries have. Banks have many billions but they are their clients money, not their own. Warrent Buffett has about 40Bn. MSFT, CISCO and a bunch of other oil companies have between 20Bn to 30 Bn. It is because once they reach 25Bn they start giving dividends or acquiring companies. AAPL did't have to do such a thing. I have a friend who works for Corning (maker of gorilla glass). He shared a story, but I can't confirm if it was true. Once in a meeting with Corning sales, Apple team showed up with their 3GS iPhones (of course). No one had a phone case and everyone placed their phone facing down on the table, during the meeting. When asked, Apple guy said, gorilla glass can resist any kind of scratch but not the metal face in the back. Corning sales guys suggested the same gorilla glass on the back of the phone and Apple gladly accepted that idea. The iPhone 4 was created with gorilla glass on both sides. Corning was happy to double their orders. Apple was once again treated as creative for this amazing idea. | ||
