holy cow .. We should be ever grateful to those heroes who upheld the honour and dignity of our nation. Chhatrapati Shivaji was our national hero, who established swarajya and liberated the people. The celebration of Shivaji festival is an occasion for expressing our gratitude to him. If we cherish the memories of our national heroes we can promote in ourselves a nationalist attitude. With the issuance of notification for Rajya Sabha elections from the state, the talk going on in the Telugu Desam Party circles is that party president N Chandrababu Naidu might not renominate M V Mysoora Reddy to Rajya Sabha for the second term. According to sources, Naidu’s intelligence sources told him that Mysoora, whose Rajya Sabha term would come to an end this month, has been maintaining close relationship with the Congress leaders from Kadapa ever since his bete noire Y S Rajasekhara Reddy died in helicopter crash in September 2009. The prime reason for Mysoora coming out of the Congress was because YSR had made every attempt to crush him politically. Now that YSR is not there and his son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched his own political outfit, Mysoora has no enemies in the district Congress party. And since there is little chance of the TDP coming to power again in the state, Mysoora thinks he would stand better prospects in the Congress party, sources said. It is learnt that Mysoora has been rewarded with a licence for a cement factory in Kadapa district by the Kiran Kumar Reddy government. And as soon as his term is completed, he might return to the Congress, sources added. |
