The celebration of Shivaji festival is an occasion for expressing our gratitude to him. If we cherish the memories of our national heroes we can promote in ourselves a nationalist attitude. If Brits dont have a problem (atleast in initial years) having Lord Ram on currency coins, we dont even dare to think of such an idea in an 'independent India'.
