If you are ready to spend........it is easy to get servant maid in cities but it is very serious problem in Towns and Villages. In cities, atleast they maintain punctuality ....sticking to time and not taking more than 10 2 leaves in a month. But in towns it is worst.......they abscond for a weak and demand hike every 3months and take advance salary every month. We pay Rs 1400/- per month - Washing Dishes, Clothes and sweeping house every day and cleaning floor with wet cloth(1600 sqft)on alternate days. Turns up at 8am in morning. She is very honest and big YSR fan. | ||

there is a company in Hyderabad that facilitates nurses to stay at home to take care of the sick. I am trying to remember the name, it was 2 years ago I used them for my father who was in great pain and needed 24x7 attention. bit expensive Rs.15k per month but we did it because my father's condition was taking toll on my mother's health. in general we were happy with service. they take care of everything with respect to the patient. two problems andi - infectious/contagious diseases and petty thefts. you need to be careful about these two. hepatitis etc is very common in india. so need to get them vaccinated/screened before you employ them. in chennai, it is like maid service. they come for 2 hrs and go. only issue they dont show up suddenly. another option is having a full time maid. but the ladies of the house and the maid always fight.. it's a mess.
