If we started listing remake films, all ex-top 4 heroes will have more in their list than PK. Of younger generation: Jr. NTR can't do remakes as I have never seen 'thigh-scratching' films in Tamil/Kannada/Telugu. Mahesh Babu can't do remakes... because um... he is too beeautifull. Allu Arjun's is too subject limited. His base is A center's. Charan again, has a long way to go before doing much of the subjects in other languages. Besides, every box-office potential hero in Tamil wants a wider market. Just like TFI. The picture was very different in the 90s. | ||

LOL... what remakes? Younger generation want to be all India stars dubbing their films in all languages! Also, what to remake? No one is giving remake rights either. They heroes want to dub for market. Only lucky fellows are in Bollywood since they have straight releases. | ||

Remake star... lol. So many of Telugu heroes did remake films in 80s but hardly anyone remembers them. Better to remake good films and give them a good market. I would never have watched Nuvve Kavali had it been dubbed. I would rather see them than watch films sprouting 'vamsam' dialogues and 'thigh scratching'. | ||

Spent force...What brains does one need to make a hit like Sakhi? But to take different themes and work on them, that is creative satisfaction. Only difference is, MR is great with finance. He will always make table profit before releasing films. It's not that MR is a spent force. It's the lack of taste in the audience of today. There's a reason why some 80s blockbusters had sad endings but no faaanz would accept that today. | ||

Maniratnam is called the best director in India. He has some big A center hits to his credit. Someone like him know the 'formula' to delivering hits. But he constantly tries to do 'something different' for his own satisfaction as well, regardless of the film being lapped up by 'formula' lovers or not. Pawankalyan is like Maniratnam in that sense. If you can't enjoy what you do, then what is the point of doing it? Pawan was never after money or endorsements or he would be everywhere post Kushi just like SRK. | ||

PK average is better than some heroes blockbusters. Powerstar can never be called Fakestar. But some superstars not only add that freely to their name, but freely fake their star-worthiness. There are heroes here who came and survived solely based on their background. Kalyan Kumar got a platform based on his background. Pawan Kalyan became an enigma and sensation that eclipsed his background. | ||
