Soodu tammi.. naaku ee percentages meeda nammakam ledu as I dont see or there is no way to find out how much client is paying our employer (or via vendors etc). The way I see is: How much is the market rate for my experience (and skills I have). Oka goal ettukunnaa.. naaku intha oste kaani pani cheyyaa ani.. thats it.. Assume 100$/hr Case1: 1. 80-20% negotiate chesthe 2. Emplyer will get 20$/hr 3. Employer tax: ekkada twists vuntai a. whatever u pay SSN + medicare from ur paystub, he need to pay the same b. neeku perdiem pay chese 50$/hr paystub lo vunte (he need to play 6% of 50$ as employer tax ie 3$/hr) 4. Next come insurance, who will pay? this varies on what kind of insurance ur company opts for. UHC aithe, okka good employer ki single ki 200$ paduthundi, ie 1.5$/hr 5. Total ga employer 5$ (tax + insurance pay cheyali) 6. Nee 80$/hr lo, take 15-20$/hr as perdiem and rest as paycheck | ||

Hi Friends, here when we're on H1B...some of us work on percentage basis with an employer... 70-30 or 80-20 etc. -- I heard that this has a lot of twists...like tax deducted from our salary or from the employer's share..etc. etc. could someone help me understand what are those aspects that we need to take care in terms of understanding the salary structure and also in terms of negotiating with the employer(consultant) please? -- An example with some numbers..will be highly appreciated |
