Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu must be definitely undergoing tense moments since Thursday morning with the Andhra Pradesh High Court all set to deliver the judgement on his vacate petition challenging the CBI inquiry into his alleged ill-gotten assets. A division bench comprising Justice G Rohini and Justice Asutosh Mehta, which had heard prolonged hearings on the petition and reserved its order on December 14 last, will deliver its judgement on Thursday. Though it is widely believed that the judgement will come in favour of Naidu in the wake of the allegations from YSR Congress party leaders that both the judges were in his favour, he is keeping his fingers crossed. If the bench approves the CBI inquiry, then troubles will begin all over for him again. YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayamma, who filed the petition against Naidu, is not confident that the judgement will uphold her petition as she had questioned the integrity of the judges and moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the case to other states. Yet, it will give her and her party a new hope, if the court orders the CBI inquiry against Naidu. |
