http://subash.frndz.googlepages.com/ Subhash Nelakurthi an F1 Student from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale was a Masters Student in Computer Science. He graduated in December, 2006 and took up a job as SAP Consultant at Swiss Re Insurance, Kansas City nine months ago. He went on a long weekend trip to Canon City, Colorado on May 26th, 2008 along with a group of friends. Colorado’s famous white water rafting tempted him to decide upon the last minute which turned out to be the last day of his life. In a group of his 10 friends which was split into 2rafts(boats) of 6each including a guide in each of them, the boat in which Subhash was rafting hit a rock & tripped down and he was so misfortunate that he was drowned in the swirl of water. Attempts made by the guide and other officials could not save him even after rushing him to the hospital near by. Subhash is the eldest son of the family hailing from Nizambad of Andhra Pradesh survived by a younger brother and sister. Due to the job and other financial situations, he had not visited his family for the last 3years ever since he came to USA as a student but the destiny decided that his corpse would reach his family rather than himself who had a plan to visit India next month . His employer is making every attempt to send his body to India along with the community organizations that are in the process of expediting all this. Loosing him is a great loss to his family and friends though but there is an immediate need to meet his funeral expenses and also try helping his family back home in India.
