I kind of memorized a lot of tips of Kunal Gir's website. I believe he wrote that doing cardio with heart rate at 130 will burn fat and not muscle. High intensity burns fat and muscle. I just want to burn fat. There is a fat loss setting on elliptical. I tried it once and didn't like it. Resistance 10 for manual mode on elliptical is close to basic. In other modes, like Random mode, that level is difficult. |

1 hr elliptical - 700 calories. Someone asked for distance. I think it was 3.65(not sure what measurementis used) Elliptical is life fitness brand. On manual program, resistance 10. Variations, I think, are do to how energetic one works out. I noticed that my heart rate was mostly around 150-160 for most of the time. Will try to maintain at 130-140 from tomorrow on wards. |

Elliptical have less stress on body compared to running and stair case.. 100 cal running = 200 cal Elliptical.. If you have leg pains or other problems, go for elliptical otherwise always run.. |

Will be going to gym. As always, 1 hour on elliptical. Then hoping to do 1/2 hr on treadmill. I prefer elliptical a lot more. Wish I could workout in morning but work schedule is not helping. |
