about time they did this anyway..... but BCCI is judged mainly on how they are helping the present team to be on top....and so are the comments from fans..... Ranji needs an overhaul of pitches that are played on......and most important of all......Intl tours and test matches have prominence over IPL drama...... no point playing 10 tests in one year and only four in the next year and then one in the following yr.....consistency and player burnout being taken into consideration is what BCCI should concentrate on..... not this Prjalaki (old ranji players ki) Kukka biscuit and manaki bangaram biscuit type policies..... show a plan for seniors if they dont have one for their exit.....tell young guys they will have future playing for India not for ambanis....etc etc..... BCCI ni tittedhi fans endhukante..entha money pwoer unna players ki manchi facilities provide cheyyatam lonu , manchi green pitches prepare chesi ENG/AUS bowlers ki dheetuga prepare cheyytamu lo fail avuntundhi and it won't show interest to do that also... it is interested how to get more money thats all... see V.Srinivasan statement after we lost by 0-4 against Aus , " we will win when they come to india"..it looks very stupid..why can't we win in Aus..? there are many like this... when u r guys don't perform when u r finincially in good position , nobody will give value... | ||

Itâs not all about money as the Board of Control for Cricket in India does look after former players. To support retired cricketers and umpires, the BCCI had started a monthly pension scheme in 2004. Every non-active cricketer having played at least one Test would receive Rs 5,000 every month. Two years later, the amount was bumped up significantly. âPlayers who have figured in 25 Tests or more now receive up to Rs 35,000 as pension while those who have played less than 25 get Rs 25,000. Widows of Test cricketers also receive the same amount. Former cricketers who played for India in Tests and ODIs after December 31, 1993 and all international umpires receive a sum of Rs 10,000 per month,â said BCCI vice-president Niranjan Shah. The pension fund covers domestic players as well. Those who have played more than 75 Ranji Trophy ties before 2003-04 season get Rs 15,000. Those who have played between 50 and 75 matches receive Rs 10,000 and those who have played 10 matches before the league system was introduced in 1958-59 also get Rs 10,000 per month. |
