IFCI, a Government of India enterprise is coming up with Tranche 1 Long Term Infrastructure Bond with Tax Benefit Under Section 80 CCF. ISSUE HIGHLIGHTS Total Issue size Public issue of first tranche of long term infrastructure bonds of face value of Rs. 5,000 each, in the nature of secured, redeemable, non-convertible debentures, having benefits under section 80CCF of the Income Tax act, 1961 (the âSERIES- IV Bondsâ), not exceeding Rs. 50,000.0 million. Issue Type Long Term Infrastructure Bond Credit Rating â(ICRA) AAâ from ICRA and âCARE AA+ â from CARE Minimum Subscription 1 Bonds and in multiples of 1 Bond thereafter Face value of 1 Bond Rs.5000 per Tranche 1 Bond Coupon Rate 9.09% p.a. Issue Schedule Issue Open Date : Wednesday, 30 Nov 2011 Issue Close Date : Wednesday, 08 Feb 2012 Interest Payment Interest is payable annually and cumulative Tax Benefit Investment up to Rs. 20,000 will be eligible for tax benefits in the year of investment under Section 80 CCF of the Income Tax Act, 1961 · Indian nationals resident in India , who are not minors, in single or joint names (not more than three); and · Hindu Undivided Families or HUFs, in the individual name of the Karta. The Applicant should specify that the Application is being made in the name of the HUF in the Application Form as follows: âName of Sole or First Applicant: XYZ Hindu Undivided Family applying through PQR, where PQR is the name of the Kartaâ. Applications by HUFs would be considered at par with those from individuals. The investment up to Rs. 20,000 made will be eligible for tax benefits in the year of investment under Section 80 CCF of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (âTax Benefitsâ).
