01/30/2012: Reported List of Lobbyists Involved in H.R. 3012 • As the H.R. 3012 bill is likely to come up sooner or later on the Senate floor in the form of motion to proceed, followed by motion to cloture to break filibuster of Sen. Grassley, one wonders what stakeholders are involved in lobbying relating to this bill. Obviously, it is strongly backed by the business community, particularly in the west and south coasts, but this report shows a list of organizations have been working behind this bill. It is interesting to notice the two leading immigration stakeholder organizations of American Immigration Lawyers Association and NAFSA. The list represents lobbying in 2011 without any specifics. If these organizations support the bill, it will be a tremendous support to the bill's sponsor.
