No brother...in my opinion...he should not take any indian assignment..English clubs ki coach gaa velladam better...those clubs commitment suits his personality.. I read somewhere in this DB..when he was playing for english county..they offered him car to drive to his hotel...But he rejected that offer and asked each player to pick him one day...so that he can know each one in team better...that much efforts he has put into game.. He do not belong to present league..where pathans..and uthapas are bought for crores of money to play for evening matches(IPLs) ... he is devotee of cricket... | ||

10 yrs ago when i was working in bangalore...Indiranagar..his house was in behind our office..one morning I saw him.. Just came out..opened his gate...took car outside...took his practice bags...closed gate...went into car..and drive...offf... The way he behaved for that 5 minutes was just amazing..true professionalism..in everything...let it be opening gate...getting into car...and driving off...I like dravid more as a complete perrson..he is very eloquent(ofcourse bangalore st joseph's college material) complete man... and needless to say about his cricket grace...as Fed/sampras are to tennis Dravid is for cricket if its true...miss u sir... -Dravid admirer | ||

this is true.. i have never seen Dravid actually moving his rear leg after a defensive shot..he is doing that to cover any other gaps...which is not Dravidish..i never saw him do that previously he does not have learn the nuances of the game all over again now..if it is not his natural instinct..he can retire gracefully | ||

He could not be reached for his comments. Dravid, like most other Indian batsmen, has had a poor run in the current four-Test series which will conclude on Saturday with India likely to suffer another defeat to give Australia a clean sweep. He made 194 runs at an average of 24.25 in this series. Dravid has already announced his retirement from one-day cricket and Twenty20. The elegant right hander, nicknamed 'The Wall' for his dour defence, is the second highest run getter in Test history with 13,288 runs, behind only Sachin Tendulkar who has 15,470 runs. He has 36 Test centuries with a highest score of 270 and an average of 52.31. Dravid has also taken more catches (210) than anyone else in Test history during his 164 Test matches since he made his debut against England at Lord's in 1996. He captained India from December 2005 to August 2007. There is a question mark over another Indian veteran VVS Laxman who too had a miserable run against Australia in the current series. There was no word yet about his future plans. |
