The Pike Place Market is on the short list of Seattle tourist destinations. It’s an easy date spot, and it’s a quick lunch destination for those that work downtown.

But if you aren’t careful, you could spend a small fortune before you know it.

Even at the Market Grill, two combo lunches with drinks can be close to $40. While the fish, chowder and coleslaw are phenomenal, that’s not something most people can do with regularity in a recession.
