Story - Bujjigadu runs away from home as a kid due to a silly fight with the girlfriend he likes a lot as she asks him to stop talking to her for 12 years. He runs away to Chennai. He is a Rajini fan and there is nothing much known of what he does in chennai except kicking ass of baddies. After 12 years he plans to return see his childhood friend or lover. He cannot find her. Chitti aka Trisha comes from London in search of Bujji after 12 years. They do meet on different occasions but donot know that he/she are the ones they are looking for. Bujjigadu comes to vizag in search of Chitti and ends up in jail due to a mess with police and falls in eyes of Kota's sons in the Jail. Kota offers Bujji a lumpsome to kill Sivanna. Bujji Goes to attack Sivanna but ends up wounded. Sivanna aka MB likes his guts to come alone to Kill him with his private army of goons. He takes him home and offers him to stay with him. Chitti aka Trisha is sister of Sivanna but he couldnt reveal to trisha as he promises to Sivanna. How bujji and sivanna finish Machireddy (Kota) and unite with Chitti is rest of the story (??) Analysis - Story is very weak and Single threaded. Puri tries to run the whole show with Hero characterisation without a proper story line. First half of the movie is pretty entertaining with good dialogues,comedy and characterisation of the hero. Second half becomes too predictable and pale once Bujjigadu joins Sivanna. Trisha is ok...and i think she now should take up aunty roles. Sanjana is alright in a small role. MB did his part well...If you donot like him it is because of poor characterisation by director. Prabhas is the only saving grace in the movie. Credit should go to Puri on creating such a wonderful characterisation and doing a complete makeover. This is his best performance till date and i rate it better than Chatrapathi.He completely changed his diction and dialogue delivery and has done very well. Glimpse of 6 pack and couple of Action sequences are good. Songs are good but placement is not correct for couple of songs. Manassantha chala, Sude Sude, Dhadak dhadak are good on screen with good visuals. Sandeep's BGM is alright. Nothing much to talk abt it. MB's role is completely wasted. The story would have been good had Prabhas and MB are opponents ...but once they are the same side...MB is totally wasted. As a story writer Puri gets minus marks. Even school kids can write better story than this. Rating - 3/5 Verdict - Watch it if you have nothing else to do. Otherwise wait for DVD or pirated copy. |
