Bob vunte ilaa jarigedaa? These are the days when competition is not just among countries but also among states within countries. That is one reason why Gujarat is ruling the roost when it comes to bagging projects and inviting foreign investments. At one point, Andhra Pradesh used to rule the roost, thanks to Chandrababu Naidu. However, all that has gone with the arrival of Congress. And now here is another incident. A source from secretariat revealed that due to the dilly-dallying of CM Kiran, the state has lost another project. Apparently, it was few months ago that a Swiss company was trying to set up an agro based industry and was in touch with the CM and his system. But it is heard that the company was made to wait for a long time with a 'lets see..' attitude. In between, sources say that Nitish Kumar, the CM of Bihar got a whiff of the company's plans. He immediately sent his best team of bureaucrats, took initiative in discussions and as expected, the Swiss company has signed a deal with the Bihar Government. While this is something which we got to hear, it may not be a surprise to note how many of such projects AP is losing out on. |
