Gotcha:

HDFC lo NRI savings is 4 % how do I convert this to term deposit which should be 9%




Cancel the deposit. u will loose some interest and then deposit it as NRE Savings for 500 days or more

I did.

Karur Vysya Bank giving 10%.

In mu opinion its damn good. If u keep the money in US , max we get on CD is 1.5%.

So 9% yield is definitely good, also USD may not sustain current exchange value of 52

For a change this year i want to push my savings into indian rupee (1) 9% yield (2) it is super cheap now. Anyone has done this lately? what are your opinions? Just checked ICICI they are giving 9%
