If this story is current What will be the state of mind of the kids. What will it be 20 years down the line. Paddy and gagu are who are neighbours. both go to the same school. Paddys father is Rajanna and gagus father is Chandranna. Both have 6 acres of land. Rajanna is a typical farmer who is very strict with Paddy and paddys study. He toils in the fields and gives what is bear minimum required for the education of Paddy. Only once or twice in a year when he has some surplus amount he heeds to the fancies of Paddy. Paddy always crib that his father doesnt take him to the movies and circuses and what not. Chandranna is a doting father who equally toils in the field. His love for the son blinds his eyes. he wants to provide everything for what his son wants. Best of education, best of food, best of entertainment. The best in everything. His meagre income doesnt support him. so he looks at the next best alternative. Sell half an acre each year to fulfil his sons wishes. gagu watches a movie every week. Get the best stationery and books, goes to Fairs and wears new clothes for every festival. once a year they go to trips around the state/country. Gagu boasts about all this to paddy. Paddy hates his father. paddy says your father is great. Look at my father. Gagu loves his father. |
