You had good explanation about content mgmt...  Apple bought some companies previously... Acquired and used their user base for apple... I have seen presentation about nflx in cnbc... According to them... Facebook is going acquired that company..... Not sure how they came to that kind of conclusion | ||

Apple, no. Their delivery model does not go well with Apple. Apple would prefer everything in house. Actually, that whole thing does not work. Netflix troubles are just a symptom of the underlying problem. Companies like NetFlix/Hulu do not understand the psychology of the content owners. Only Jobs did, and sadly he is gone. What in my view works is: There should be a central exchange of all video entertainment - tv shows, movies, sports shows etc. for now, exclude the live content. This exchange should be a free platform for anyone to add/deposit/contribute, much like YouTube. Only rider is, the content you deposit must be your own, otherwise you would attract legal trouble. Once you have that central depository, you can have delivery companies on top of them. Like Amazon, Akamai, Level5 etc. One you have them, you have delivery companies like Apple, Amazon, Netflix etc. These delivery companies can also provide a harware console or hardwired TV. This exactly how Power/gas delivery works.
