INC had 36 out of 280 (13%) candidates with pending criminal cases, PRAP had 47 out of 254 (19%) candidates, BJP had 20 out of 168 (20%) candidates, TDP had 67 out of 211 (32%) candidates & TRS had 12 out of 39 (31%) candidates with pending criminal cases. • Out of these 303 candidates with pending criminal cases, 116 had pending serious criminal cases like murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, robbery, extortion etc. INC had 11, PRAP had 17, BJP had 4, TDP had 22 & TRS had 4 candidates with pending serious criminal cases. • There were 202 IPC charges of heinous nature on the candidates which included murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, extortion etc. • There were total 34 red alert constituencies where 3 or more contesting candidates had pending criminal cases. Each Mydukur, Kamalapuram & Narasaraopet constituency had 5 contesting candidates with pending criminal cases. • A total of 463 candidates out of 2466 i.e. 19% candidates were crorepatis. • A total of 205 candidates declared zero assets. • A total of 519 candidates declared liabilities of Rs.5 lakhs and above. • Among major parties, the average asset per candidate for INC was Rs.2.89 crores, for PRAP Rs.3.21 crores, for BJP it was Rs.53.42 lakhs, for TDP it was Rs.3.42 crores & for TRS it was Rs.2.94 crores. • A total of 62% of candidates (1537 of 2466) had not furnished PAN card details. • Number of women candidates was just 215 (9%) as compared to 2251 of men (91%). • More than 43% candidates (1053 of 2466) were graduates & above. The police themselves floated theories about a possible rape and murder and then scotched them and, as a result, the death of actress Pratyusha continues to remain a puzzle. Forensic doctors at the Gandhi Hospital say death was due to asphyxia, while the forensic science laboratory says Pratyusha died due to organo-phosphorous poisoning. And despite knowing it was a medico-legal case, the Care Hospital management did not inform the police after Pratyusha and her boyfriend Siddartha Reddy, the son of an influential contractor in Hyderabad, were admitted on February 23. The police were informed only after Pratyusha died at 11.45 am on February 24, ending any chance of the police recording a dying declaration from the actress. Some days later, Care issued a media statement on their admission to the hospital and the treatment given, but remained silent on its failure to inform the police. "She developed bradycardia (lowered heart rate), fall of blood pressure and cardiac arrest. She was given cardio-pulmonary resuscitation including shocks. In spite of all measures, Pratyusha could not be revived. Siddartha is still on mechanical ventilatory support," Dr P. Krishnam Raju, director, medical and hospital services, said. Sources said the police did not show interest in tracking down the movements of the two on the evening of February 23. They say there are several unanswered questions. Pratyusha is believed to have gone to a beauty parlour between 5 and 6 pm from where Siddhartha picked her up. Where did they go from there? Whom did they last meet? Is it true they met the sons of two ministers that evening? Who were these men? Were they friends of Siddhartha? If the version of Pratyusha's mother, Sarojini, is to be believed, her daughter responded and recognised her when she looked through the glass door of the ICU, how would the police explain the asphyxia angle? If she really died due to "pressure over neck," when did it happen? The haste with which the DGP issued a statement confirming the death was only a case of suicide has raised many eyebrows. The forensic lab can only indicate whether any poison content was found in the viscera. The asyphxia and pressure over neck argument cannot be ruled out straight away, noted a senior doctor at the Osmania Hospital, disagreeing with the stand taken by the DGP office and the forensic lab. Later, the city police commissioner, M.V. Krishna Rao, reacted cautiously. He said that the case was still open for investigation. Siddharth Reddy, who was arrested by Crime Investigation Department on March 9, was produced in the court of metropolitan magistrate N Ananda Rao on Monday. The magistrate remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days. The 22-year-old Siddharth Reddy, who allegedly consumed poison along with Pratyusha and survived the suicide attempt, while the actress died, faces a criminal case on three counts. He has been charged under sections 309 (attempt to commit suicide), 306 (abetment to suicide) and 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. The murder charge has been retained since the report of a three-member committee of forensic experts is awaited. These experts have been asked to review the post-mortem report on Pratyusha of Gandhi Hospital doctors, who said that it was a case of rape-•••-murder. Speaking briefly to newsmen at the court complex, Siddharth said that he and Pratyusha were in love for the last six years. On February 23, they decided to end their lives as his parents had once rejected his proposal for marrying the 20-year-old Pratyusha. They consumed the pesticide nuvacron mixed in coke. Later, they rushed to CARE Hospital and got themselves admitted. Siddharth pleaded ignorance about Pratyusha's death. "No, I have no idea. Till Date no idea that time Devender Goud (Ex HM) Son friend ani seppar ... when she died her clothes are missing , even sid took poison it seems but he survived ( he brought 250 ml novacron,1 knife,coke in Crime scene) he already served 115 Days so just 615 Days + Rs 50k for a Rape + Murder India is great kaadha ...
