Onkyo tx-nr609 is the receiver...

Works great with low to mid sized speakers. High end speakers aithe, receiver upgrade cheyyali.

Mamamiya786:

do you know the difference between book shelf speakers and
surround sound speakers..

Bookshelf speakers are direct radiating and can be used as rears if placed correct (aiming to listening position). Indhulo, surround sounds baaga vinipistayi and looks impressive.

Surrounds speakers are bipole/dipole speakers to get surround effect. Veetillo sound thakkuva anipistundi, but you get the effect of sound field. But, room layout should be right to bounce sound off the walls.

In an ideal setup, you want fronts to be strong and direct radiating. Rears should just enhance the mood. You should not hear dialogs from rears. Given a choice, I will put bipole/dipole rears for surrounds than bookshelves.

Mamamiya786:

what is the disadvantage in keeping the screen lika that ..
why do we have to go for motorized.

It depends on ur usage. I don't have dedicated theater setup. I reuse my basement space for other activities like ping-pong. Also, kids (my daughter's friends) attempted play with the screen or write on it.... so, I prefer to pull up the screen. If you have dedicated space with no one messing with screen, you can leave it open.

My concern was, if you manually pull it all the time, screen meedha madathalu padathayi. They appear like waves. Motorozed aithe, even ga roll-in, roll-out avuthundi.
